Course Description:
Presentation of the Centennial College Bombardier Centre for Aerospace and Aviation at Downsview Campus.
The presentation of this AIA Canada award of merit building will review the design in detail.
Learning Objectives:
1 Explore how the incorporation of heritage provides unique design opportunities at a variety of levels
2 Learn how to adapt program spaces and circulation to the realities of the found condition
3 Analyze how selective demolition and addition can tell a continuing story of a place
4 Learn how the design team apply wayfinding and environmental graphics in a manner that recognizes and demonstrates local history

Robert Allen, Partner at MJMA Architects, will present the award winning Centennial College Bombardier Centre for Aerospace and Aviation project at the Downsview Campus, and will open the conversation to the audience for questions and discussions. This course is registered for 1 AIA learning unit.
