Bird Friendly Glazing Challenges and Solutions

Course Description:

The number of cities across North America adopting bird deterrence legislations is growing. This course will cover critical aspects that will be helpful to architects designing buildings that will reduce significantly the number of bird collisions and have a positive impact on the environment and biodiversity.
Learning Objectives:
1 Understanding the importance of birds and bird migration.
2 Assessing the risk of bird collisions and various glass structures.
3 Research on bird window collisions and the 2×4 rule.
4 Understanding legislation and standards.
